Black and White Buffalo Plaid Tablescape

I love decorating for the holidays – I just wish that October through December wasn’t always such a whirlwind. To maximize my holiday enjoyment, I set up my decorations as early as I can and my Black and White Buffalo Plaid Tablescape is ready to go since I decided to skip doing a Halloween tablescape.

I had so much fun shopping at Hobby Lobby for my Black and White Buffalo Plaid Tablescape and galvanized table decorations. Seriously, I love that store and the beautiful displays are always so inspiring. How fun would it be to work there and put together the aisle displays???

I wanted to go for a less traditional Thanksgiving look but still incorporate pumpkins. When I found the silver pumpkins I basically did a happy dance and was off to a massive shopping haul – the only way I know how to do Hobby Lobby.

I started with my clean white IKEA Ingatorp Table and started adding layers. A Black and White Buffalo Plaid table runner, orange and silver pumpkins, and galvanized charger plates.

Beautiful ceramic orange plates, pretty buffalo plaid napkins, and a napkin ring made up my place settings. I also clipped a small chalkboard to the side of each charger where I can write my guests’ names.

I also added small tealight vases that I made with Craftables vinyl. You can find the whole tutorial for How to Apply Adhesive Vinyl on Glass Votives over on the Craftables blog. They cast such a pretty glow on the table when the pumpkin spice candles are lit.

I finished with a milk glass and a black and white paper straw. Although I will probably use stemware for our actual dinner.

I have a long way to go before my tables look like something from Pizzazzerie (I just adore Courtney’s creations), but I have fun and love that my table looks pretty.
