When I was a little girl, I always loved St. Patrick’s Day – it is the only holiday in my birthday month, and I loved dressing up in my best green dress and biker shorts. I feel like I always have a holiday hangover after Christmas and March is the perfect time for me to feel festive again and really enjoy holiday-themed projects and decorations. Up first: my new St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Wrappers!

I shared the Valentine’s Day cupcake wrappers I made last month, and I figured I would make some more for this month too. Jedidiah loves to help me in the kitchen and I never need an excuse to bake. These are so easy to make and add just the perfect amount of “extra” to any St. Patrick’s Day dessert table.

How to make St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Wrappers:

Open up Silhouette Studio® on your computer.

Select the Page Setup Window and adjust your cutting mat size to 12×12 (or the sized mat you are using).

Download your St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Wrapper Design from the Silhouette Design Store and then open your font in Silhouette Studio. Click File>Library>Library>Recent Downloads>Select your downloaded file.

This design needs to be “grouped” before you can duplicate it. Select the whole design, right-click, and select “group”.

Copy and paste the design – try to get as many to fit on one sheet of cardstock as you can. I was able to fit 5 on my 12×12 mat when I rotated one of them upside down.

Attach your cardstock to the cutting mat and load it into your machine.

Follow the prompts in the Design Studio for the type of cardstock you are using and double-check to make sure your design has been selected to “cut”.

No need to adjust your blade with the new Cameo 4. The Autoblade will adjust to cut based on the type of material you selected. I suggest always doing a test cut to make sure it will work with your cardstock. *If you’re using a machine with a ratchet blade, be sure to adjust it now.

Select “Send” to start cutting.

Press the “down” arrow when your machine has finished cutting your design to remove the cutting mat from the machine.

Preparing Your St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Wrappers:

Remove your sheet of cardstock from the cutting mat – go slow so it doesn’t curl up.

Use your fingers or a weeding tool to remove the excess cardstock from between the shamrocks.

Creating Your St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Wrappers:

These cupcake wrappers are already the perfect size for standard cupcakes.

Curl the cupcake wrapper and attach the two ends with a little double-sided tape. Some of the Silhouette Designers make cupcake wrappers with a hook and slot but this design doesn’t have one.

I suggest making the St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Wrappers, placing an unfrosted cupcake inside and then frosting your cupcake. It is harder to place already frosted cupcakes, but it can be done.

I love these St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Wrappers and think they would look great with my St. Patrick’s Day Powdered Sugar Cupcakes or my Pot of Gold Cake. Wouldn’t that be so much fun to set up for a work party? Tell me who you would make St. Patrick’s Day Cupcakes for in the comments!
